Our purpose is to help parents and policymakers understand that by restoring choice and opportunity in public education we can create great schools.

Our vision is that Idaho families should enjoy all the benefits of real choice in education and that entrepreneurs should have real incentives to create, innovate, and market productive education.

Our mission is to create the best environment for choice and opportunity to thrive in education.

What We Do

We examine and analyze education policy issues based upon the time-honored principles of freedom of choice, respect for families as the fundamental unit of society, and incentives for entrepreneurs.

Research: We assist parents, policy makers, scholars, business leaders, the media, and the public by providing objective analysis of Idaho education issues. The goal of all reports, commentaries and educational programs is to help decisionmakers to better understand the benefits of choice and opportunity in education policy.

Our research focuses on three broad areas:

Independence: We are an independent non-profit policy research institution. To maintain our independence we do not endorse candidates, ballot measures or legislation, nor do we accept any government funding.

Guarantee of Quality Scholarship

The Board of Directors and Staff of Education Excellence Idaho are dedicated to providing the highest quality and most dependable research on public policy issues in Idaho. To this end, Education Excellence Idaho guarantees that all statements of fact presented in our publications are accurate, and that information attributed to other sources is accurately represented.

Committed to providing Idahoans with reliable information, Education Excellence Idaho welcomes critical review of its work. If the accuracy of our research is questioned and brought to our attention with supporting evidence in writing, we will respond. If an error exists, Education Excellence Idaho will issue an errata sheet that will accompany all subsequent distributions of the publication, which constitutes the complete and final remedy under this guarantee.
